About Us

Hi, I’m Dr. Christopher Gebhardt, but feel free to call me Chris or Geb. My wife, Stephanie, and I grew up together in the Flathead, and after years of close friendship, we got married. It's been an incredible adventure ever since!

The name Broken Crow came from a crow with an abnormal wing that we spotted daily on our drive to school with my bonus kids, Nels and Kellan. We’d make a game of spotting 'Broken Crow' first, and the name stuck—thus, Broken Crow Veterinary was born.

Broken Crow Veterinary Services, Dr. Gebhardt with family about us

Growing up in the Flathead, I worked various jobs as a teenager, including farming and irrigation. My family raised animals, and I was fascinated by the veterinarians who cared for them. After high school, I worked in telecommunications before pursuing veterinary medicine at Montana State University and Washington State University. I worked as a mixed animal practitioner in Havre, MT, and also provide relief work at veterinary clinics in Washington. I’m also certified in Animal Chiropractic Care.

My favorite days are when I married Stephanie and when our daughter Stacy was born. I’m passionate about the outdoors—canoeing, bird hunting, and donkey packing into the backcountry. I also enjoy blacksmithing, leather crafts, spending time with my family, and barbecuing with a cold beer in hand.

My Approach

When working with a patient, I consider all systems and therapies to determine the best care for the animal. Becoming a certified Animal Chiropractor allowed me to view patients from a new perspective. I'm thrilled to be involved with the Flathead Community, helping both people and their critters.
